The third restaurant by Stephanie Izard, DDG was a foray into creating her version of a quintessential Chinatown experience. The architecture & design by AvroKO was intricate and detailed so the lighting design had to meet the same expectations. Small luminaires were required throughout, though they still required a big impact. Layered lighting assisted not only in the intimacy of the space, but ensuring that every detail of the design went unnoticed. In the end, the overall feel is warm, welcoming and just as if you walked into a small shop in the streets of China.
